All 501c(3) agencies, herein called “Client”, must follow the terms of service outlined within this document as well as any additional terms listed below.
Specific Policies
Licensing - All 501c(3) agencies must provide a valid license prior to evaluation or training. If you do not have one, another agency must submit a letter stating they are willing to parent the responsibility prior to evaluation or training.
Paperwork – For the safety of Learning to Lead and its agents, we may request paperwork regarding the dog prior to any work being performed. Failure to supply the requested paperwork violates this contract under the provisions of the SERVICE EXCEPTIONSportion of this contract.
1. Immunization records.
2. Bite history, if any, includes all paperwork from the hospital, and/or the Department of Health.
Payment - All first-time 501c(3) agencies are required to make payments in advance prior to any evaluation or training. Scheduling of both evaluations and training is done through the agency or with the dog adopters.
All established clients are sent an invoice with payment due upon receipt after the first day of evaluation or training has finished.
Training
Service Exceptions - Learning to Lead reserves the right to approve or deny service based off of the SERVICE EXCEPTIONS outlined within this document.
Tailored Services - Due to the specialized training process, 501c(3) agency personnel are not permitted to be present during the training process.
Aggressive Dogs – prior to an evaluation, adopters will need to provide a video to Learning to Lead regarding any aggressive behavior. It will be determined at that point if Learning to Lead will continue with an onsite evaluation.
Foster Care - Learning to Lead does not train dogs while in foster care. The majority of the training done while in foster care becomes irrelevant once the adopter has taken possession of the dog. We work with 501c(3) agencies or adopters directly once the adoption is complete.
Progress Reports - All 501c(3) agencies are given updates on progress and/or concerns during all stages of the training process.
